This page is designed to assist you in traveling to common (and some not so common ;-) locations associated with Concord High School events. If you find any errors, would like to contribute a new location with directions or have a better way of traveling to a site or know a good shortcut, please send them to
chs.athletics@gmail.com. This page will grow in usefulness as more folks contribute, so please feel free to do so.
Please note that the addresses for some locations, such as parks and marinas, are approximate and may be "fudged" to give related maps a more accurate reference with regards to the event location. In any case, the direction descriptions and the associated maps are made as accurate as possible to assist you in getting to some pretty "fuzzy" locations.
Acalanes High School
(On the corner of Pleasant Hill Rd. and Stanley Blvd.) Take Highway 24 to Pleasant Hill Rd. North, and follow Pleasant Hill Rd. to traffic light at Stanley Blvd. Turn right at Stanley Blvd and then left into the Acalanes High School parking lot.

Take I 680 N onto Highway 4 W. Exit Alhambra Ave. from Highway 4. Turn right onto Alhambra. Travel approx. 1 mile to E St. and turn left. School is about 1/4 mile on the right.

BERKELEY HIGH SCHOOL 2246 Milvia St., Berkeley, CA 94704. Tel: (510) 644-6120 Take I-680 north and go west on I-24 and drive 10.3 miles. Take Hwy 13 north towards Berkeley and go 0.5 miles. Continue on Tunnel Road 0.9 miles. Continue Ashby Avenue, 0.5 miles. Turn right on College Avenue and go 0.9 miles. Left on Bancroft Way 0.9 miles. Turn right on Milvia Street and arrive at 2246. The school parking lot is 1é2 block up Milvia on the left.
BISHOP O'DOWD HIGH SCHOOL 9500 Stearns Avenue, Oakland, CA 94605Take 680 south towards San Jose. Go east on 580 towards Oakland for 15.7 miles. Take the Golf Links Road exit towards 98th Avenue. Turn left on Golf Links Road. Turn left on 98th Avenue. Turn right on Stearns Avenue and arrive at 9500.
CALIFORNIA HIGH SCHOOL 9870 Broadmoor Dr, San Ramon 94583 Tel: 925-803-7400 Take 680 south and exit Bolllinger Canyon Road. Turn right on Bollinger Canyon Road. Turn left on San Ramon Valley Blvd. Turn left on Montevideo Drive. Turn right on Broadmoor Drive and arrive at 9870.
CAMPOLINDO HIGH SCHOOL 300 Moraga Rd Moraga 94556 Tel: (510) 376-5986 Go north on 680. Take westbound 24. Take Central Lafayette Moraga Exit. Merge right and make two more right turns to go under the freeway. Turn right again at the signal onto Mt. Diablo Blvd. Turn left onto Moraga Rd. Stay on Moraga Rd for 7-10 minutes. School is on the right.
Carondelet High School
Take Highway 24 to I 680 north, exit at Treat Blvd., continue on Treat Blvd., right on Winton Dr. Carondelet HS is on the right.

CASTRO VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL 19400 Santa Maria Tel: (510) 537-5910 Take 680 south to 580 west to first Castro Valley exit. Left at signal onto Castro Valley Blvd. Right onto Redwood Blvd. To get to the gym, take a left onto Mabel (small street behind the school - no stop sign or signal) and turn right immediately into parking lot on Mabel.
CLAYTON VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL1101 Alberta Way Concord, CA 94521 North on 680, exit Ygnacio Valley Road. Go east approximately 7 miles. Turn left on Alberta Way, go .2 mile to school.
College Park High School/DVC
Take Highway 24 to I 680 North to Willow Pass Road exit. Go left on Willow Pass Road. Go right onto Contra Costa Blvd. Go left on Viking Drive. Go about .4 miles to the high school. College Park High School is on left, Diablo Valley College (DVC) is on the right.

DEER VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL 4700 Lone Tree Antioch, CA 94509 Tel: (925) 776-5555 Take 680 north through Walnut Creek. Exit onto 242 north to cut over to Hwy 4 east. Hwy 4 will pass through Pittsburg, then Antioch. Take the Lone Tree Way/A Street exit in Antioch. Go right or south onto Lone Tree Way. Stay on Lone Tree for about 3 miles. The school is on the right. It is new and huge. The gym is on the northwest side of the campus next to the pool complex.
Dublin High School
I 680 south to Alcosta exit. Turn left at light and go over the freeway. Turn right at Village Parkway. School is on the corner of Village Parkway and Brighton. Parking available off Brighton.

Foothill High School
Take I-680 South to the Stoneridge Dr exit (~21.7 miles). Turn right on Stroneridge Dr and travel ~.8 miles to Foothill Rd. Turn left on Foothill Rd and travel ~1.5 miles to Foothill High School. NOTE: Take the second entrance into the school. The first entrance does not allow access to the parking lot.

FREEDOM HIGH SCHOOL 1050 Neroly Road Oakley, CA 94513Take 680 north. Take 242 exit towards Pittsburg/Concord. Take 4 east towards Stockton/Pittsburg and drive 13.3 miles. Take Lone Tree Way exit towards A Street. Continue on Lone Tree Way. Turn left on Empire Avenue. Turn right on Neroly Road and arrive at 1050.
Granada High School
Take I 680 South to I 580 East (toward Livermore/Tracy), take Portola Road exit to stop light, go right on Murrietta Blvd. about 2 miles, right at Stanley Blvd., first left at Wall Street.

Hayward High School
From Moraga, take Canyon Rd west to Pinehurst Rd. At the intersection of Canyon Rd and Pinehurst Rd, turn left onto Pinehurst Rd. Travel to Redwood Rd where you will turn left, traveling towards Castro Valley. Stay on Redwood Rd through Castro Valley. Redwood Rd will turn into A St. a couple of miles after crossing Interstate 580 in Castro Valley. Travel to 2nd St. in Hayward and turn left. Travel on 2nd St. approx. 4 blocks to E St and turn left. Travel to the next intersection, East Ave. and turn right onto East Ave. Hayward High School will be on the right.
Hayward High School is the site of the 2002 NCS Cross Country Meet of Champions.

Take Highway 24 to I 680 South, exit at South Main Street, Walnut Creek, go under freeway, 2 stop lights turn right into Las Lomas' parking lot.

LIVERMORE HIGH SCHOOL 600 Maple Street, Livermore, CA 94550Take 680 south towards San Jose. Take 580 east towards Livermore. Take N. Livermore Avenue exit towards Central Livermore. Bear left on East Avenue. Turn left on 6th Street. Arrive at 600 Maple Street.
Los Medanos College
Take I-680 NORTH.
Take CA-242 NORTH RAMP towards CONCORD/PITTSBURG.
Take CA-4 EAST RAMP towards STOCKTON/PITTSBURG.
Take the LOVERIDGE RD exit.
Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp.
Merge onto LOVERIDGE RD.
Turn LEFT onto E LELAND RD.

Martinez Marina (Martinez Shoreline Park)
Take Highway 24 to I-680 North. Travel on I-680 North to the Marina Vista exit (last exit before the Benicia Bridge). Take a left on Marina Vista and travel into Martinez. At about 2 to 3 miles look for Ferry Street, and make a right on Ferry Street. This will bring you directly into Martinez Regional Shoreline Park.
Helpful hint: The Amtrak Station is on Ferry street, so if you follow the signs to Amtrak you are on the right track (no pun intended ;-). You will pass the Amtrak station as you enter Martinez Regional Shoreline Park.

Newhall Community Park
Take I 680 North to Ygnacio Valley Rd. turn right, continue on Ygnacio Valley Rd. to Ayers Rd, turn left, then left again on Turtle Creek Rd. The parking lot is a few hundred yards farther up Turtle Creek Rd. on the right side.
This is the site of the Adidas Invitational Cross Country Meet. The Campolindo team traditionally sets up "camp" under the large Valley Oak tree (Quercus lobata) directly across the large grass field from the main parking lot.

OAK HILL PARK 3005 Stone Valley Road, Danville, CA94526 Take 680 and exit at Stone Valley Road and turn right at the stop sign. The park will be on your right hand side about 3.0 miles down the road. It is located next to Monte Vista High School and you may park in the school parking lot.
PIEDMONT HIGH SCHOOL 800 Magnolia Ave. Piedmont, CA 94611Take 680 north and take 24 west towards Lafayette. Take 13 south exit towards Hayward and go 1.5 miles. Take Moraga Avenue exit towards Piedmont. Bear right on Moraga Avenue. Turn left on Highland Avenue. Turn right on Oakland Avenue. Turn left on Hillside Avenue. Continue on Magnolia Avenue and arrive at 800.

Redwood Regional Park
At Moraga Way, Moraga Road turns into Canyon Road. Take Canyon Road to the intersection with Pinehurst Road. Turn left on Pinhurst Road and travel to Redwood Road. Take a right on Redwood Road and continue several hundred yards to the Redwood Gate entrance of Redwood Regional Park. Pass the entrance station (typically unstaffed at x-country time of year...) and continue to the parking lot at the end of the road (Canyon Meadow Staging Area). If this parking lot is full (and it usually is), park at the previous parking lot which you passed earlier (Wayside Overflow Parking Lot).
This site is where Campolindo home cross country meets are held. After parking, you will walk for approximately 1/4 mile on the asphalt path which leads northerly out of the end Canyon Meadow Staging Area parking lot. The starting (and ending) location for cross country meets is located at Fern Dell.
