Diego Huerta

This is Diego's second season on the Concord Track and Field team. He also ran Cross Country for two seasons. He has been a leader on the team, coming to practice every day and pushing himself to set a good example for everyone. Diego's junior season was cut short due to an illness, but he was still the fastest distance runner on the team. During this short season, Diego was able to get three personal bests in the 800, 1600, and 3200. His 1600 time is the 10th best all-time for Concord High and his 3200 time is the 6th fastest all-time for Concord High. If he had a full season this year, he would have undoubtedly improved those times. Diego is going to run Track and Cross Country in College. He has narrowed down his choices to two schools and will be decided soon. Diego maintained a 3.8 in-season GPA.
